Mohammed VI Polytechnic University’s (UM6P) School of Hospitality Business & Management (SHBM) is driven by the motto “Nurturing today’s talents, Impacting Tomorrow’s Africa”. In shaping hospitality leaders, the school relies on the “Learning-By-Doing” approach. The purpose of this endeavor is to achieve sustainable development in the African tourism and hospitality sector. SHBM aims to build a comprehensive hospitality ecosystem within the modern, state-of-the-art UM6P campus located amidst the Ben Guérir Mohammed VI Green City, near Marrakech. SHBM aims to foster and cultivate the essence of hospitality education while encouraging innovation, applied research, and entrepreneurship.

École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) is consistently regarded as the best hospitality school in the world and thus SHBM is looking to expand on this initiative throughout Morocco and furthermore throughout Africa.

Our continued collaboration includes AHLEI and other leaders of hospitality education in order to create both a nationally and internationally renowned school. Thus, SHBM is looking for an Admissions Officer with a Hospitality Mindset that is motivated to be part of this exciting new venture.

The main missions of the Admission Coordinator are as follows:

- Achieve quantitative and qualitative recruitment objectives of candidates for SHBM’s current and future programs

- Timely manage and answer prospective candidates requests through SHBM’s customer relationship management tool

- Support prospective candidates throughout their application journey in order to complete and submit their applications in due time

- Support and assist the execution of the action plan of the Admissions strategy of the different programs of SHBM including media, website, and collateral materials

- Execute and support the organization and coordination of conferences, meetings, webinars, open days, and other events organized by the Marketing and Business Development department

This position is headquartered in Benguerir with frequent trips to Casablanca and Marrakech and the option to work remotely when possible and approved by management.

The Admission Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing and Admission manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Admission Coordinator will be attached to the SHBM Development unit. His/her role includes:

1. RECRUITMENT:

  • Recruit prospect students through a variety of promotional actions targeting candidates in line with SHBM’s qualitative requirements
  • Timely manage and answer prospective candidates requests through SHBM’s Customer relationship management system including :
    • Answer on-line requests
    • Create email templates and ensure relevant email follow up
    • Manage contacts lists and update them throughout the customer life-stage
  • Welcome and counsel prospects on the different educational opportunities available (phone calls, on-site visits, web forms...)
  • Prepare material and participate in various events, information sessions, open days, etc.
  • Keep track of recruitment events finances including, invoicing, and reporting.

2. ADMISSIONS:

  • Assist candidates and their parents throughout the admission journey :
    • Application submission
    • Written and oral admission test for retained candidates
    • Admission and registration for admitted candidates
  • Timely reporting of application submission status, admission tests registration, and admission acceptances
  • Manage students appointments and coordinate with the admission and pedagogical teams;
  • Establish a weekly quantitative and qualitative synthesis.

3. PROFILE AND SKILLS FOR THE POSITION:

  • ???????Profile
    • Experienced Bac+2 or Bac+4 in business, management, marketing, communication, events, etc.
    • 1 to 3 years’ experience in the educational public or private sectors
    • Fluency in English is a must as it is the school’s main language. Proficiency in Arabic and French are very much appreciated?
  • Competencies
    • The Admission Coordinator is required to collaborate with many people and must generally work in a team environment. Therefore, it is necessary that he or she possesses good interpersonal skills.
    • She/He must also be creative, i.e. be able to bring new ideas to all stages of the recruitment campaign design and execution
    • Good negotiation skills
    • The position requires good analytical skills in order to understand and identify target markets, an essential step in the design, development, and implementation of the school’s recruitment and admission strategies
    • Good mastery of digital tools and marketing content editing tools such as :
      • Office suite
      • PPT/Keynote
      • Etc.
