The UM6P College of Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (SAES) is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic senior manager with demonstrated expertise and skills in program and project management, partnership development, and financial resource management. The holder of this position will work under the direct supervision of the College Dean and will have a key interacting role with HR, Finance, PMO’s, Procurement Services, academic affairs, and the President office. He/she will provide a strong leadership to implement and maintain the most efficient resource management practices within the college and its constituting research entities.

Terms of Reference

The permanent position will be located at Mohamed VI Polytechnic University in Benguérir, Morocco. The position will support the college and report to College Deans.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement improved operating procedures for SAES and its entities
  • Overall management of SAES project portfolio in collaboration with project managers: project planning, project communication, project monitoring and evaluation, and management of project human and financial resources.
  • Assist the Associate-Dean Partnership in developing R4D international partnerships
  • Coordinate the preparation and timely delivery of progress reports, annual reports, project completion report and other reports required by stakeholders.
  • Support project budgeting and budget implementation.
  • Contribute to the management of college research grants: development of grant management processes, communication with grantees, grant monitoring and evaluation.
  • Support SAES to identify new research opportunities from implemented projects and grants, and contribute to the development of proposal for external funding.
  • Develop and implement professional development schemes for college staff.
  • Provide quality dashboards on HR, finance and project matters for improved decision making

Profile recherché

Qualifications and experience

1. University degree in business administration, finance, economics, or agriculture.

2. Proven record of analytical/computer skills managing complex/large programs

3. Strong leadership quality along with interpersonal and conflict management skills

4. Similar experience in a university or an international research organization is a plus

5. Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.

6. Understanding and experience with the social, cultural and economic context of agriculture in Africa.
