Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Master Degree in Software/ Computer Engineering (Bac+5).
  • Advanced communication skills in English & French.
  • Effectively manage the mitigation and remediation of application and infrastructure security incidents and identified vulnerabilities, which includes liaising with Senior Executives, IT Security and vendors
  • Work with and provide guidance to security teams, both within Bell and external to Bell, as they perform infrastructure, application and code scans as well as PEN tests in order to uncover vulnerabilities within Bell's systems
  • Monitor analyze and remediate vulnerabilities from Bell security scans.
  • Document all security incidents and assess their actual or potential damage to Bell.
  • Knowledge of sSDLC framework work include tools used for SAST scanning and security by design.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement improvements to existing processes/procedures/best practices or the creation of new processes/procedures/best practices if they do not already exist
  • Engage with delivery and process management teams to improve internal processes and procedures to proactively address security vulnerabilities
  • Assess the latest internal and external security bulletins and propose a plan to remediate any threats that are applicable to Bell systems
  • Stay current on IT security trends, news and standards
  • Ensure Security Ops Team staff receive appropriate training to stay current; and
  • Mentor Security Ops Team staff to ensure continued growth.
  • Lead and actively participate in daily / weekly reviews with IT and Corporate security teams
  • Assist in the creation and presentation of regular status and trend analysis reporting to IT Leadership team
  • Manage related supplier contracts
  • Build effective relationships with Operational Support teams and delivery partners
Profile recherché

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Master Degree in Software/ Computer Engineering (Bac+5).
  • Advanced communication skills in English & French.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an asset. ITIL v3 and other IT and security certifications are also an asset.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and risk management methodologies.
  • Experienced in instituting cyber security and risk metrics for reporting; and establishing security processes to reduce business risk.
  • Ability to determine how processes, procedures and best practices established by a corporate team will affect working teams.
  • Since the position entails working with sensitive and confidential information, a high level of integrity is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and foster strong working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization as well as external contacts.
  • Taking the initiative and working proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with a broad array of security technologies, such as EDR, container security, vulnerability assessment, secure configuration, static code analysis, and container security scanning
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self starter who is comfortable working with and presenting to all management levels

Preferred Competencies :

  • Security related certification (CISSP, CEH etc)
  • Experience in Telecom is a strong asset
  • Experience in a development environment
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies in Public cloud and on-site (Google, AWS, Redhat OpenShift)
  • Experience in Sysadmin work and operational work.
