We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines a Procurment Manager

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise the procurement team ;
• Communicate the company's and department's objectives ;
• Create an inspiring work environment with open communication and a culture of continuous improvement;
• Set clear and daily operational goals for the team in alignment with the organization's strategies and objectives ;
• Develop, capture, and share standard work; ensure that the corporation's best practices and procedures are followed by the team;
• Organize work schedules, delegate tasks, set deadlines, and ensure they are completed on time ;
• Provide adequate support to buyers in carrying out their tasks;
• Prepare responses to customer inquiries regarding order status, changes, and cancellations to ensure their satisfaction ;
• Ensure business continuity by resolving procurement issues ;
• Evaluate and mentor individuals; support the hiring of new team members;
• Identify training needs; ensure or organize knowledge transfer and system access requests; Support internal and external auditors in their activities and implement required corrective plans;
• Establish a support service and monitor its performance ;
• Maintain effective communication with members of the multidisciplinary and global team.
• Lead strategic and business discussions with suppliers to ensure alignment on key decisions for Pratt & Whitney.
• Develop new contractual agreements that meet our company's requirements and lead negotiations with suppliers.

Profile recherché

Profile required:

• Bachelor's degree +5 in Purchasing / Logistics with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position in the manufacturing sector, preferably in the automotive or aeronautical industries;
• Experience in contract negotiation and understanding of key legal terms;
• You are passionate, autonomous and motivated by results and learning;
• Good communication and influencing skills;
• Customer focus and an analytical mind;
• Fluency in English and French;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and under pressure;
• Solid knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and systems.
• Sense of ethics and respect;


Assets:

• Experience and knowledge in purchasing services and materials in the aeronautical or automotive field;
• Experience in the functions and understanding of purchasing processes;
• Leadership, autonomy, passion, sense of responsibility;
• Ability to innovate, change the status quo and drive the business unit forward;
• Mastery of SAP and MS Office;
