Research Assistant in Agricultural soil salinity amendments Contrat : Interim

The RA will conduct applied research in soil salinity with a focus on chemical amendment in arid / semi-arid farming ecosystems. She/he will undertake field and lab trials to validate productivity and benefits of chemical amendments on soil salinity monitoring, soil physico-chemical properties.

We are looking for a RA with the following qualifications:

• PhD in Agriculture, plant-soil interactions, soil nutrition & amendment, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge and experience of field-based experimentation in agricultural environments, past work experience in the region of Sehb El Masjoune.
• Demonstrated skills in the publication of research journal articles, conference papers, and evidence of high-quality peer reviewed publications in international journals in the field of soil amendments.
• Experience working in a collaborative research environment and willingness to work within a multidisciplinary group as well as good communication skills in both English and French.
