SCIENTIST IN LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES Lithium-ion Batteries materials synthesis and electrochemical characterization
The Scientist position in battery technology is focused on development of new materials, process development and scale-up of advanced battery materials, understanding of electrochemical and degradation phenomena for lithium-ion batteries. Extensive state-of-the-art infrastructure for materials and battery development and testing is established at the Department. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research profile in close collaboration with the present battery activities at the Department.
The Scientist will include providing information flow among groups working in the battery field, providing management help during establishment of larger research applications and facilitating initiatives with respect to sharing and developing infrastructure for battery research.
A Scientist fellowships is a qualification position in which the main objective is qualification for work in academic positions. The applicants must hold a PhD in materials chemistry, materials science and technology, electrochemistry or similar. Candidates with documented expertise in development of functional materials and nanomaterials for battery technology as well as electrochemical and degradation studies of batteries are desired. Experience in in-situ/operando characterization techniques is considered an advantage.
Profile recherché
The main role of the selected candidate is to contribute on the effort to develop phosphate based materials for lithium-ion battery.
The Scientist will work in collaboration of the prototyping Research lines and Electrochemical Testing. Job function:
synthesis and characterization of phosphate-based materials.
Characterize the phosphate-based materials using analytical instruments.
Cell integration into a lab-cell proof of concept.
Characterization of solid electrolyte-electrode interface (electrochemically and chemically).
