Academic Program Manager

Reporting to the COO, the Academic Program Manager will manage all the academic and administrative aspects of JUACS programs. He/she will work to ensure the academic integrity and quality of JUACS Programs.

Function Description:

  • Overseeing the development of the program’s missions and goals.
  • Supervising and coordinating day to day operations of the assigned program.
  • Serving as an advisor for current and/or prospective students who express interest in the program and monitoring the success rate.
  • Providing programmatic guidance through participation in staff meetings, task forces, and committee meetings.
  • Reviewing, approving, and submitting program requisitions such as curriculum changes and updates, course scheduling and assignments, syllabus, textbook orders, and enrollment reports.
  • Working to coordinate activities between multiple internal and external service areas and works to integrate and coordinate service areas.
  • Promoting the program philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  • Developing and managing curriculum, in cooperation with faculty.

Requirements

  • Managerial and/or project management principles and practices.
  • Academic program requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and solving complex program issues.
  • Knowledge of research methods and data driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of computers and related software applications.
  • Prior supervisory skills.
  • Ability to interpreting academic program requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use varying styles, approaches, skills and techniques that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multi-cultural workplace.
Profile recherché

Education:

Phd or Master’s Degree.

Languages requirement:

FR (Fluent) – EN (Fluent)

Experience:

  • Successful Experience: Four (4) or more years of related management experience such as supervision, operations, leadership, planning, human resources and/or decision management.
  • Teaching experience.
