ORH Assessment, a subsidiary of the LMS ORH group, is a recruitment consultancy that also offers assessment services and organizes competitions on behalf of large public and private companies.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a public-private partnership consortium involved in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of wind and freshwater energy, a :

PROJECT CONTRACT MANAGER

Reporting to the Construction Director your main missions will be :

• Contributes to the finalization of the execution strategy and structuring assumptions of the project prior to NTP, including the contracting and sourcing strategy, the management of risks and stakeholders.
• Monitors and support claims management from the Investors, the Offtaker and the Contractors.
• Reviews and analyzes contractual documents to identify risks and opportunities to optimize the project value and provide advice on the implications of contractual clauses.
• Liaises with the Project Company CEO, Construction Director, CFO, the Owners Engineer, and the legal team where necessary to review and provide inputs to critical contractual correspondences.
• Reviews the arrangement and administration of all project bonds, guarantees and insurances in accordance with the contractual obligations.
• Monitors contracts execution against identified KPIs: deliverables, milestones, contract commitments, claims and performance, risks and opportunities.
• Proactively identify contractual risks, discuss those with Construction Director, OE and contractors and provide a mitigation plan.
• Monitors contractors’ (including OE) quantity survey, costs, milestones completion, payment certificates, reporting and progress status.
• Ensures that the project management staff is fully aware of their contractual obligations and of their impacts. Participates in contract briefings and provides advice in responding to contractual queries and assist proactively in the resolution of the issues.
• Advises on contractual implications of proposed changes and ensure that any contractual changes that result from change requests are drafted and approved by relevant parties.
• Collects and maintain a project document data relevant to potential claims / claims.
• Ensures with legal team that all legal documents are correctly maintained and updated.
• Define and manages the implementation of the contract management procedures .
• Drafts contractual letters and participate in project meetings with the contractors / negotiations of claims.
• Liaises with Shareholders contract management functional line and management and reports whenever necessary.
• Coordinate insurance claims if required.
• Support for reporting to the governmental authority.
• Support for contacts / communication with governmental / local authority and
• Supports the collection and sharing of « Return of Experience » (REX) / Lessons Learned.
• All tasks required to support the Construction Director activity.
  

• Engineering degree or law degree.
• Proven experience in management of international industrial projects (including on site)
• Technical career path in at least one of the Group's core businesses
• More than 10 years of relevant experience
• A mix of technical and legal experience is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of local legal framework.
• Organized, rigorous, ability to step back
• Inter-functional, intercultural and interpersonal facilitation skills
• Ability to listen, lead and convince in a non-hierarchical position
• High negotiation capability maintaining a balance between assertiveness and flexibility
• High standard of Oral and written communication skills
• Languages: fluent English and French
• Competency in Microsoft Office is essential.
• Well developed skills and knowledge in the field of contracts / legal / commercial is a pre-requisite
