MISSION
Accounting Analyst will support the Finance Transformation team in resolving long-standing internal audit issues related to asset reconciliation between operational (Silva) and financial (SAP) systems. The role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders from both the Finance Transformation and Accounting teams to ensure continuity, technical clarity, and progress on audit remediation efforts.
Accounting Analyst Responsibilities:
Technical Analysis:
- Analyze and take ownership of existing Excel-based tools used for asset reconciliation, ensuring a deep understanding of their logic and functionality before the transition deadline.
- Simplify and optimize these tools to improve usability and ensure long-term maintainability.
- Support the resolution of audit findings by improving reconciliation processes between Silva and SAP tools.
Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer:
- Work closely with the GO Finance team to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Provide technical expertise and training where needed to upskill team members on tools and processes.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain clear documentation of tools, processes, and changes implemented.
- Contribute to progress reporting on audit remediation efforts.
Profile recherché
PROFILE:
- Bac+5 with financial background with 2 years proven experience in international environment
- Proven experience in financial data analysis and reconciliation
- Organized, respecting deadlines, planning & autonomy
- Analytical skills, ability to synthesize complex data
- Rigorous, accurate and can assure quality of data provided
- Collaborative, open minded, transparent, at ease with global, multicultural environment
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly asset accounting and reconciliation.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Strong technical skills in:
- Power Query
- Power BI
- Excel Macros/VBA
- Financial common sense
- Fluent English & French level in speaking and writing is mandatory
