The university promotes multidisciplinary R&D, entrepreneurship and collaboration with external institutions and clients with the aim of advancing the Moroccan and African economies.

About LIMSET

LIMSET, Laboratory of Inorganic Materials for Sustainable Energy Technologies, is formed by a multidisciplinary group of scientists and engineers focused to develop innovative training and research related to sustainable energy. The laboratory is leading research in design, development, and optimization of the next generation of inorganic materials for their application in different processes and technologies of sustainable energy. LIMSET is conducting research in a wide range of applied sciences, aiming to contribute to the competitiveness of Moroccan and African companies. The current research of the entity includes activities and innovative projects, such as: (a) cost-effective thermal energy storage for industrial waste heat recovery and Power-to-Heat applications, (b) all-solid batteries for future electric vehicles, and (c) innovative materials and processes for the production and storage of green hydrogen and green ammonia.

Job description:

The PMO will be responsible for defining, monitoring and implementing the day-to-day processes related to the administrative management of research projects and activities at LIMSET and including the participation in:

  • Draft, submit, and present various performance and management reports to provide methodological support on projects and activities management.
  • Monitor performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Financial analysis and reporting to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the entity.
  • Monitor spending patterns of the budgets of the research projects and activities.
  • Prepare and consolidate project status (progress, budget, deliverables, and risks) and manage priorities according to the planning, budget, and resource loads.
  • Prepare, consolidate, schedule, and coordinate the project meetings.
  • Contribute to the academic development of the education and training programs of the entity.
  • Support the development of relations with national and international partners for common research and education programs
  • manage the administration, communication and coordination of research projects and activities of the entity.
  • Follow the contracting process with partners and the UM6P services concerned (legal, partnership, etc.).
  • Manage inventory, and facilitate purchases as needed and verify costs and receipts.

Profile recherché

Criteria of the candidate:

  • Master's degree, Engineering degree, or scientific thesis followed by cross-functional experience in project management, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and oral presentation skills in French and English.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population: national and international staff, students, researchers, professors, companies and partners.
  • Use a range of software, including spreadsheets, and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the entity.
  • Autonomy and spirit of initiative, rigor, discretion, sense of organization and problem-solving skills.
