The Project Management Officer (PMO) will play a central role in structuring, tracking, and steering project activities within the Energy4Water (E4W) initiative at UM6P. This role is designed for forward-thinking professionals with a strong command of project lifecycle management, institutional reporting, and cross-functional coordination in innovation-driven environments.

Reporting directly to the E4W leadership, the PMO will oversee the planning and execution of key project components, monitor progress against defined KPIs, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Responsibilities include managing project documentation and timelines, consolidating internal reporting, facilitating communication across workstreams, and ensuring risk and resource oversight across technical and administrative domains.

With a proactive and detail-oriented approach, the PMO will act as a strategic integrator across multidisciplinary teamsenhancing clarity, accountability, and operational rigor. In alignment with E4Ws mission, the PMO will directly contribute to accelerating delivery, reinforcing project governance, and driving measurable impact.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate project planning cycles and monitor execution against defined milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, risk logs, and performance reporting tools
  • Consolidate technical and administrative inputs into institutional reports and funding documentation
  • Facilitate alignment meetings, decision tracking, and follow-up mechanisms across project streams
  • Support resource planning and allocation in collaboration with technical leads and support functions
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, timelines, and quality assurance protocols
Profile recherché

Candidate Profile:

  • Holds a Masters degree (or BAC+5 equivalent) in business management, engineering, management sciences, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience (3 to 5 years) in managing complex or multi-stakeholder projects, preferably within academic, R&D, or sustainability-oriented environments
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with a structured and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent command of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or equivalent) and office productivity software
  • Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across functional and hierarchical levels
