Job Title: Research Engineer in Bioprocess, Chemical Engineering, and Simulation
Job description:
African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is seeking applications for a full-time Research Engineer in Bioprocess, Chemical Engineering, and Simulation.
The successful candidate is expected to be involved in supervision of Masters’ and PhD students and conducting research in Bioprocess, Chemical Engineering, and Simulation.
Candidates should hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering/Modeling/Simulation or related fields.
Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students across the university and externally is required.
Strong English and French communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
Key duties:
Successful candidate is expected to:
- Have a strong expertise in chemical engineering
- Have a strong practical knowledge in software related to process engineering and simulation
- Knowledge and familiarity in chemistry, bioprocesses, and biomass valorization
- Knowledge and familiarity with biomass pre-treatment; biomass conversion, and high value-added products from algae and lignocellulosic materials
- Publish the results of personal and sponsored research in international journals refereed by his/her peers.
- Pursue and/or propose scholarly and professional activities that will keep him/her at the leading edge of his/her field.
- Supervise Master and PhD students.
Profile recherché
Criteria of the candidate:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering/Modeling/Simulation or related field from a recognized University
- At least 2 years’ experience in research/application in the field of process engineering and simulation
- High Master of statistical and simulation tools
- High publication record in leading international and well ranked journals (at least 3 publications in the last 3 years)
- An experience in supervising of Master and PhD students
- Excellent English and French verbal and written skills
